C. JOHN COTTON

C. John Cotton was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, in 1956. He obtained an undergraduate degree from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana in 1978, and obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming in 1983. From 1983 to 1986, John served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Joseph B. Meyer, and the Honorable Alan B. Johnson, State District Court, First Judicial District, Cheyenne, Wyoming. From 1986 to 1987, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Alan B. Johnson, United State District Court for the District of Wyoming. From 1987 to 1993, Mr. Cotton was involved in the private practice of law in Casper, Wyoming. From 1993 to the present, Mr. Cotton has been engaged in the private practice of law in Gillette, Wyoming.
